Getting around COK

At Kochi, flight type decides the front door. Every domestic flight uses Terminal 1, while international passengers use Terminal 3; Terminal 2 is the separate business-jet facility, not an alternative check-in hall. That distinction matters before the car turns into the terminal roads, because T1 and T3 are different passenger buildings. CIAL sits 28 km northeast of central Kochi and handled 11,519,356 passengers in 2025. It also carries a rare operating claim from its own records: in 2015 it became the first airport in the world to run entirely on solar energy. For the city rail system, the published connection is an electric Pavan-Doot feeder bus between the airport and Aluva Metro Station.
