Getting around LGW
Gatwick has two terminals, North and South, linked by a free driverless shuttle that runs every few minutes, 24 hours a day — the ride takes two minutes and luggage trolleys are allowed on board. The railway station is built into the South Terminal, about a five-minute walk from departures, with four train operators including the non-stop Gatwick Express to London Victoria. Most airlines are fixed to one terminal — British Airways, Ryanair and Wizz Air in South; easyJet and Emirates in North — but TUI splits by flight number: “TOM” flights leave from North and “BY” flights from South. In 2025 the airport handled 42.7 million passengers.
