Getting around ATL
Atlanta is the world’s busiest airport — 108.1 million passengers in 2024 — and it works differently from most: domestic flights check in at the Domestic Terminal and international flights at the Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal, on opposite sides of the airfield. In between sit seven concourses (T, A, B, C, D for domestic; E and F for international) with 198 gates, all linked airside by the underground Plane Train, which runs about every two minutes. The MARTA train to downtown leaves from the west end of the Domestic Terminal, and the free 24/7 SkyTrain links the terminal to the rental car center and the Gateway hotels in minutes.
