Terminal 1
Delhi’s all-domestic terminal, roughly 8 km from the T2/T3 cluster and rebuilt to a Platinum LEED-certified design. IndiGo and SpiceJet fill most of the schedule, carved up by their own flight-number ranges, alongside Akasa Air. Domestic passengers can walk in any time on the day of travel; check-in counters open three hours before departure.
Check-in
Self-service kiosks and Drop-n-Fly self-baggage drop are both available in the T1 check-in hall. DigiYatra facial-recognition gates cover entry (1D–6D).
From the train & tram station
The Magenta Line’s underground Terminal 1-IGI Airport station is a 5–7 minute walk (300–400 m) through a covered subway with travelators — this is the only terminal with its own metro stop; T2 and T3 share the Airport Express Line further east.
Changing terminals
A shuttle bus links all three terminals free of charge (the airport’s own pages disagree on the exact interval — the FAQ says every 10 minutes, three separate transfer pages say every 20); the T1 desk sits in the arrival forecourt towards the bus lanes. The paid alternative is the DMRC feeder bus to Terminal 2 for ₹40. Exclusive taxi bays serve Black-and-Yellow cabs, Ola, Uber, Rapido, Alyte, Mega and a premium car-hire lane.
Accessibility
A dedicated PRM drop-off sits in Lane 1 of the departure forecourt, opposite Gate 3, and every gate at T1 doubles as a PRM lane through entry and security. PRM-friendly washrooms carry call buttons, and the first row of the car park is reserved for reduced-mobility parking.

Terminal 2
The second all-domestic terminal, built around IndiGo’s 2000-series flight numbers and Air India’s AI1700–AI1899 block since 1 June 2026. Its 16 boarding gates split into six with aerobridges and ten bus gates across six check-in rows, and an Encalm lounge sits in the departure food court.
Check-in
Self-check-in kiosks stand at both the departure forecourt gates and the check-in hall, backed by four Self Baggage Drop points in Rows C and D. Three ATMs serve departures and one serves arrivals.
From the train & tram station
Terminal 2 has no Airport Express stop of its own: the airport’s own metro page is explicit that reaching the line means a short walk or shuttle ride over to Terminal 3.
Changing terminals
A dedicated pedestrian pathway connects T2 straight to T3, and a complimentary buggy carries senior citizens, expectant mothers and passengers travelling with infants over the same route. Passengers connecting within T2 itself go through the internal transfer area by lift or escalator — with a security frisk but no baggage re-check, so only one hand bag travels with you. Terminal 1 is reachable by the free inter-terminal shuttle or the ₹40 DMRC feeder bus.
Accessibility
Entry Gate 4B and the PRM desk between Gates 4 and 5 handle reduced-mobility passengers, backed by two dedicated PRM phones at departures. Two medical rooms plus a Medanta-run centre in arrivals cover emergencies.

Terminal 3
Opened in 2010 and still the busiest building at Delhi Airport, T3 is the only terminal that touches international traffic — alongside its own domestic slice, Air India’s AI1100–AI1199 series. The upper tier is reserved entirely for departing passengers, and eligible Indian nationals and OCI cardholders get a fast-track immigration lane through the Trusted Traveller Programme.
Check-in
Common-Use Self Service kiosks and Self-Service Bag Drop cover most of the check-in hall; Drop-n-Fly self-baggage drop runs at Row P near Gate 7 for domestic flights and a handful of international ones.
From the train & tram station
The Airport Express Line (Orange Line) runs directly into T3, reaching New Delhi Railway Station in around 25 minutes — reached via a skywalk from the terminal into the Airport Metro Building, which also holds the only left-luggage counter and ticketed-passenger waiting area at the airport.
Changing terminals
The free shuttle to T1 and T2 leaves from the shuttle counter inside the bus waiting lounge at the arrival forecourt, near Pillar 10; T2 is also reachable on foot through the tunnel at Pillar 18, about 500 metres away. Any international connection — same terminal or not — must clear Immigration again before boarding the next flight.
Accessibility
PRM drop-off uses Lane 1 for UDID/Divyang cardholders or the lanes opposite Gates 3 and 6 for everyone else, with dedicated PRM parking on Levels 1 and 2 near Pillar A3–A4 and a security lane of its own, Zone 0.
