Getting around EXT

Exeter Airport sits five miles from the city and five minutes off the M5, licensed as an aerodrome since 1937 and rebuilt in stages ever since. It was Flybe’s home base until the airline collapsed in 2020, taking roughly 400 local jobs with it; today the airport rebuilds its own network instead of leaning on one carrier — KLM’s daily Amsterdam flight is the hub connection, alongside TUI’s leisure charters, Ryanair and Loganair, who returned to Manchester after a five-year gap. Beyond the Mediterranean routes, Exeter is also the mainland gateway for Skybus flights to the Isles of Scilly and for year-round service to Guernsey and Jersey. It has been owned by Regional & City Airports since 2007, itself acquired by ICG in August 2025, and the CAA counted 572,260 passengers through the terminal in 2025 — up 27% on the year before.

Getting here without a car
Stagecoach’s 4A bus is the only link to the rail network — no station on site, no dedicated shuttle.
Parking
Four car parks with published drive-up rates — P4 gives 30 minutes free for a quick drop-off.
Executive Lounge
One lounge, above the restaurant after security, £27.50 per person with a strict two-drink limit.
