Inside each terminal

Check-in, security, the station link and how to change terminals — verified against the airport's own pages.

Terminal

A single terminal building handles every scheduled and charter flight at “Nikos Kazantzakis” — the state airport’s only passenger building since 1947, rebuilt in 1972 and expanded again in 1996, 1997, 2005 and April 2018, when the Duty Free operator funded an 8,000 sqm renovation completed in nine months and added gates for arrivals and departures. A Duty Free area of 2,100 sqm sits before passport control, with a separate Last Minute Duty Free zone beyond it for passengers leaving the Schengen area.

Accessibility

Assistance is arranged through your airline or its ground handler rather than through the airport directly — Goldair Handling, Skyserv and Swissport each list a separate phone line for travellers with special needs, alongside their baggage desks.
