Getting around LBA
Leeds Bradford has flown from the same Yeadon hilltop since 1931, and the height stuck: at 681 feet above sea level it is England’s highest airport. Everything runs through one terminal, but check-in splits by airline — Hall B is reserved for Jet2.com, Hall A takes the other nine carriers, from easyJet and Ryanair to Aer Lingus and KLM. No mainline track reaches the building itself: the FLYER buses, run by Transdev, close that gap to Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate instead. In 2025 the airport carried 4.4 million passengers, up 5.3% on the year, and its single lounge — the Six Eight One — sits behind a terminal that is mid-refurbishment, so the old reception desk is closed and staff work the floor instead.
