Inside each terminal

Check-in, security, the station link and how to change terminals — verified against the airport's own pages.

Terminal 1

The newer of Lyon-Saint Exupéry’s two terminals, opened in 2017. Both of the airport’s lounges are here — Confluence for Schengen departures, Mont-Blanc for the rest — and fast-track access covers this terminal too. The NH Lyon Airport Hotel stands across the forecourt, designed by the same architect, Santiago Calatrava, who designed the adjoining TGV station.

From the train & tram station

The TGV station is a two-minute walk away, with the Rhônexpress terminus one level below it — under 30 minutes to Lyon Part-Dieu, and 30 French and Italian cities reachable daily by TGV or OUIGO.

Changing terminals

Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 stand close enough together that a single car park, P0, runs underneath both; the airport does not publish a dedicated inter-terminal shuttle or walking route.

Accessibility

A PRM waiting area on Level 0 and Level 1, a staffed Information Point on Level 1, and a call box at the Terminal 1 drop-off car park. Assistance should be booked with the airline at least 48 hours ahead.

Terminal 2

The original terminal building, operating since the airport’s inauguration in 1975. The Hampton by Hilton and MOXY hotels are built directly into it, both a few minutes from the gates and the TGV station.
