Terminal
A single building grown in three recorded steps: the 1983 terminal itself, solar-powered from the start; a west wing added in March 2007 for regional flights, with its own private-aviation terminal and car park; and an east wing from July 2012 that brought twenty more check-in counters and a new baggage hall. Boarding today splits into two piers Aena names T1 (the larger one, gates 6 to 12) and T2 (gate 4).
Check-in desks sit on floor 1. Aena’s general rule is 3 hours before a non-Schengen departure and 2 hours before a domestic or Schengen one.
Standard metal-detector arch and X-ray screening, with a paid Fast Lane for priority access. Valencia does not make PA announcements about boarding gates or gate changes — the departure screens are the only way to check.
Both Metrovalencia lines that reach the airport, 3 and 5, stop on the ground floor of the regional flights terminal — the west wing added in the 2007 extension.
Barrier Free assistance needs 48 hours’ notice; arrive at the meeting point at least 2 hours before departure (2.5 recommended). Aena also offers a free hidden-disabilities badge so staff can recognise passengers with a non-visible condition.
