The map shows why Auckland is unusual among big airports: the International Terminal and Auckland Domestic Terminal are two separate buildings with their own kerbs, car parks and bus stops, joined only by the 950-metre Green Line footpath and a free bus that leaves every 15 minutes. The International Terminal’s forecourt is dominated by the Transport Hub, more than 320 metres of covered kerb serving buses, taxis and rideshare, with the AirportLink stop for Puhinui Station at one end. On the domestic side, the shaded building sits closer to the Māngere shoreline, with its own short-stay car park at the door and the Park & Ride lots further out to the north and south. A third shape between the two, still shown under construction, is the new domestic jet terminal due to open in 2029 — once it does, the walk this map traces today will shrink to an indoor corridor.

The shaded buildings are the terminals as they operate today, with names verified by us — the base map’s own labels can lag behind reality. Blue P squares mark the official car parks that publish a name; the dark square is the station.
