A free bus connects them every day from 4:00 a.m. to midnight, with a wheelchair ramp on board. Check your ticket or boarding pass for the terminal before you leave for the airport.

What is Biomig, and do I need to register for it?

Biomig is Migración Colombia’s automated biometric border-control system — iris or face recognition instead of the manual booth. Registering is free and done once, at the enrolment point on floor 2, module 68; you need to be at least 12 years old. Foreign adults can only use Biomig to exit Colombia, not to enter.

I have a connection through Bogotá — do I need a transit visa?

Accepted Answer

Only if you are a foreign national who would normally need a visa to enter Colombia and your connection requires leaving the international transit zone. That transit visa is arranged in advance through Colombia’s Cancillería (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), is valid for 30 days, and covers a stay of up to 24 hours inside the transit zone. Travellers who don’t need a visa still need to carry valid identification.

Two, side by side in the Hall Público on floor 2, on the eastern side of the international check-in area: an Oratorio reserved for Catholic worship, open 6:00–22:00 local time, and a separate, faith-neutral Sala Multiconfesional for any religion, open 5:00–21:00.

An ACI-certified accessibility programme: a Sunflower lanyard for hidden disabilities, free wheelchair service requested at the information points in either terminal (Terminal 1, floor 2, Gate 5; Terminal 2, Gate 3 or the main entrance), 122 reduced-mobility parking spaces split across Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the cargo terminal, and El Dorado A Tu Ritmo — a pre-flight walkthrough of check-in, security, the gate area and arrivals for neurodivergent travellers, run with a trained host.

Do the hotels near the airport run a shuttle?

Accepted Answer

Some do, but El Dorado does not publish a shared list or timetable — it tells travellers to confirm availability, frequency and the pickup point directly with their hotel before arriving or leaving. If a hotel does run one, its own pickup point at the airport is floor 1, Gate 1.
