Inside each terminal

Check-in, security, the station link and how to change terminals — verified against the airport's own pages.

Terminal A

The main terminal building, and the one every scheduled passenger checks in at: Ryanair, Wizz Air, Pegasus Airlines, Air Cairo, Air Montenegro, SMARTWINGS and SunExpress. The interior is themed around Milan Rastislav Štefánik, the general and aviator the airport is named for, with a full-scale Caproni biplane replica in the ground-floor lobby.

Check-in

29 desks on the ground floor of the Departures terminal, including one for oversized baggage.

Security

Escalators take departing passengers from the ground floor to the second floor, where the restricted area holds the shopping and relaxation zone and gates 1–8 (the Schengen zone) — 8 of the airport’s 13 gates in total.

Accessibility

The assistance contact point is at the entrance to the Departures terminal, signposted with a pictogram; passengers with reduced mobility may be dropped off directly in front of the building on presenting their disability badge. Whoever sold the ticket — the airline or the travel agency — needs the assistance request 48 hours out, not on arrival.

Terminal B

The non-Schengen wing: it handles arrivals and departures for flights outside the Schengen area, interconnected with the main terminal building rather than a separate walk. Beyond passport control, the remaining 5 of the airport’s 13 gates (9–13) are reached from the same departures flow.

From the train & tram station

Local bus route 61 to Bratislava Main Railway Station stops on the access road in front of the Departures terminal.

Changing terminals

Part of the same interconnected terminal complex as Terminal A — no shuttle or transfer is needed between them.
