Inside each terminal

Check-in, security, the station link and how to change terminals — verified against the airport's own pages.

Terminal 2

Check-in for 59 of the airport’s 63 airlines, from Norwegian and Ryanair to Lufthansa. Its piers, A and B, carry more departing passengers than the rest of the airport combined — 35% and 18% by the airport’s own figures. Three of the five airside lounges sit behind its gates.

Check-in

Confirm your terminal on your booking: the split is by airline, and only four carriers use the other building. Departure boards inside cover both terminals, since they share one security process beyond this point.

Security

The checkpoint is shared with Terminal 3 — CPH Express fast-track lanes sit at lane 10 and lane 20, open 5 AM to 9 PM, and domestic travellers within Denmark can use them too. A family lane serves anyone travelling with a child under 6.

Changing terminals

There is no walk “between” terminals in the usual sense: once through security, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 are one continuous airside, and the Transfer Center between gates B and C — next to the large Tax Free shop — helps connecting passengers regardless of which building they arrived through.

Accessibility

Falck provides assistance airport-wide, best booked through your airline when you book your trip; an electric wheelchair or an assistance dog needs 48 hours’ notice. Travellers with a hidden disability can wear the sunflower lanyard.

Terminal 3

Only four airlines check in here — SAS, Delta Air Lines, Singapore Airlines and TUIfly Nordic — yet SAS alone carries 38% of everyone who flies through CPH. This is also the building the metro and the railway are physically part of, and its piers (C, D, E and F) handle just under half of departing passengers between them.

Check-in

A short list of airlines, so check-in queues are usually shorter here than at Terminal 2 — but the security checkpoint just beyond is the same one everybody uses.

Security

The same shared checkpoint as Terminal 2: CPH Express lanes 10 and 20, open 5 AM–9 PM, open to domestic travellers, with a family lane for under-6s.

From the train & tram station

The metro station is in direct extension of the building, and the InterCity platforms (tracks 1 and 2, with tracks 11 and 12 across Ellehammersvej) are the same walk — there is no outdoor crossing to reach either.

Changing terminals

Terminal 2 is not a separate airside: past security it is one shared space, and the Transfer Center sits between gates B and C, beside the large Tax Free shop, for anyone connecting onward.
