Getting around EDI
Edinburgh is Scotland’s busiest airport — 16.9 million terminal passengers in 2025 by the CAA’s figures, 7.5% up on the year — and the whole operation fits in one terminal with the city’s tram line ending on its doorstep: trams leave the plaza by the Edinburgh sign every 7 minutes through the day and take about 30 into the centre, while Lothian’s Airlink 100 express keeps the connection alive 24/7. Security was the first in Scotland to move to the two-litre liquids standard, so bottles and laptops alike stay packed. The corporate tally is 37 airlines and 155 destinations, spanning easyJet and Ryanair through to Emirates, Qatar Airways, United and Delta.
