Fiumicino runs two passenger terminals today, Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, connected by internal pedestrian routes with clear signage — the map shades just those two buildings, not every terminal-tagged outline nearby. The railway station sits beside Terminal 3’s departure-level exits, and both the nonstop Leonardo Express to Roma Termini and the FL1 regional line leave from there, so checking in at Terminal 1 means a longer walk to a train than the shaded outlines alone suggest. Terminal 1’s own Area A, added to the building in 2022, handles Schengen and domestic departures. Authorised taxis wait at the arrivals level of both terminals, and ADR runs a free year-round shuttle linking the terminal buildings, the car parks and Cargo City, with waits never publicly longer than 15 minutes, even overnight. Terminal 3 also holds this guide’s only verified lounge, the extra-Schengen Plaza Premium Lounge on the upper floor of Boarding Area E, reachable only once past that terminal’s controls.

The shaded buildings are the terminals as they operate today, with names verified by us — the base map’s own labels can lag behind reality. Blue P squares mark the official car parks that publish a name; the dark square is the station.
