Getting around HUY
Humberside sits by the village of Kirmington in North Lincolnshire, three miles off Junction 5 of the M180, and it runs two separate terminal buildings for two very different kinds of flying. Terminal 1 is the passenger side: KLM flies to Amsterdam seven days a week, connecting onward to more than 160 destinations, while TUI runs a seasonal charter to Palma de Mallorca and Albastar also operates from here. Terminal 2 belongs to CHC Helicopters — the airport’s own site lists it as the only rotary-wing carrier among its active airlines — and in 2025 those helicopters carried 8,165 of the airport’s 161,171 passengers and flew 1,398 of its 4,596 aircraft movements, according to the Civil Aviation Authority’s fixed/rotary-wing split. The airport’s own hotel partner advertises “daily flights to the world’s biggest offshore wind farms and international offshore centres” next door. Barnetby, the closest railway station, sits three miles off and needs a taxi to close the gap, but the terminal, its two pre-book car parks and the Hampton by Hilton are otherwise all within a short walk of each other.
