Terminal 1
The passenger terminal, home to KLM, TUI and Albastar. The information desk sits prominently in the terminal building, open for all flights; the Aviator restaurant is before security, the Aviator Express shop is in the check-in hall (Monday–Friday only), and World Duty Free trades from the departure lounge, which is airside, after security. The Aspire Executive Lounge is open to every departing passenger regardless of airline or class, daily from 4.30am, with a walk-up fee of £33.
Check-in opens at 4.30am for the 6.10am KLM flight to Amsterdam — the airport’s first departure of the day — and generally 2–3 hours before other flights.
Barnetby is the nearest railway station, three miles off, with no rail link running to the airport itself — the final leg goes through Cable Taxis, the airport’s approved taxi partner.
Disabled parking is in the short-stay Car Park 1, about a 35-second walk from the terminal. Published walking distances: car park to information desk 75m, information desk to check-in 22m, check-in to security 38m, security to the departure lounge 25–45m, arrivals to car park 135m. A coded lanyard scheme lets passengers identify a hidden disability to staff, and assistance dogs are allowed into the terminal and onto the aircraft.
