Passenger Terminal
Every airline at Kraków flies from the same building, spread over level 0 (arrivals, ticket machines, the Business Lounge is on the departures side of level 1), level +1 (mezzanine shops and the rent-a-car desks) and level +2, home to a 24-hour observation deck. Free Wi-Fi (“KRK Free Wi-Fi”) covers the terminal.
Airlines typically open check-in two hours before scheduled departure — check your carrier’s own terms, since this can vary. An airport information desk sits in the check-in hall.
Security screening can be completed no earlier than 6 hours before departure and checkpoints run 24 hours a day; a screen before the checkpoint shows current queue volume. Gate numbers appear on screens behind security — 60 minutes ahead for Schengen flights, 180 minutes ahead for non-Schengen flights.
The railway station sits directly behind the P1 multi-storey car park, joined to the terminal by a covered footbridge — trains of the SKA1 line (Koleje Małopolskie) run to Kraków Główny and on to the Wieliczka Salt Mine.
There is no second terminal to transfer to, but the same covered-footbridge pattern repeats twice: one footbridge reaches the railway station behind the P1 car park, another reaches the Hilton Garden Inn, 40 metres from the building — the only hotel on site.
A signed “blue path” of help points runs through the airport for disabled and reduced-mobility passengers, handled by the airport’s own agent, WAS – KRK Airport Services. Book at least 48 hours before departure. Biometric ABC e-gates are open to EU/EEA/Swiss citizens with a biometric document, 120–220 cm tall (children from 12 years and 140 cm since 15 February 2023).
