The airport’s original terminal, on Elmer Faucett avenue, closed that same morning after 60 years and no longer carries flights.

No — Peruvian citizens only need their DNI for domestic flights. If it’s expired or lost, the airport also accepts an MTC-issued driving licence, a valid passport, or an original current RENIEC registration slip (Ficha C-4); this only applies to Peruvian nationals.

Yes, but you’ll pass Migraciones and Customs to do it, which ends your transit status — when you come back to catch your connection you must pay the TUUA connection fee again. It can be paid in advance online (pagotuua.lima-airport.com, foreign cards accepted) or in cash, in soles or dollars, at the airport’s payment modules.

My child is arriving alone — where do I meet her?

Wait in the public area of International or Domestic Arrivals, whichever applies. Airline staff bring the child out to the public area and will ask for your ID before handing her over.
