Metro Línea 5’s “Terminal Aérea” station is a few minutes’ walk from T1’s main entrance — the only rail line either terminal has, and Línea 5 does not run to T2.

The Aerotrén to T2 is reserved for passengers already in connection (with an e-ticket, boarding pass or reservation code) and flight crews, boarding at Gate 6, 05:00–01:00 daily. Anyone else has two paid options at Gate 7: TETSA’s own buses (cash, every day 05:00–01:00) or Mexico City’s Metrobús, which added a dedicated shuttle to Terminal 2 in August 2026 — check the sign on the unit, since Metrobús also runs a longer citywide route from the same stop.

Lifts serve Gates 2, 4, 5, 7 and 9 of the arrivals concourse plus the intercity bus station and car parks; electric stairs and ramps cover Salas A, B, D, E1, E2 and F1 and the domestic baggage-claim area. Free mini-vehicle transport for pregnant travellers, older adults and passengers with disabilities runs through the national and international departure lounges, and restrooms are open 24 hours with adapted fixtures.

No Metro line reaches Terminal 2 directly — the nearest station is T1’s Terminal Aérea, on the other side of the airfield, so most T2 travellers rely on the airport’s buses, authorised taxis or ride-hailing instead.

The Aerotrén to T1 is for connecting passengers and crew only, boarding at Gate 4, 05:00–01:00 daily. TETSA’s own paid buses use that same Gate 4 (cash on board, every day 05:00–01:00). Metrobús boards separately at Gate 2 — both its citywide Ruta Quetzalcóatl into the historic centre and, since August 2026, its dedicated shuttle to Terminal 1; check the sign on the unit before boarding.

Lifts serve Gates 1, 2 and 4 of the arrivals concourse and both car parks; escalators and ramps run through the ambulatory halls, connecting corridors and the migration area. Mini-vehicle transport for travellers who need it departs from the car park, and restrooms are open 24 hours with adapted fixtures.
