Getting around NAP
Naples Airport sits inside the city itself, in the Capodichino district, and it shows in how you get there: Alibus, the official ANM shuttle, is a dedicated-lane run to Piazza Garibaldi (Central Station) in about 15 minutes — there is no train station at the airport itself. GESAC, the operator since 1980, made Naples the first privatized airport in Italy in 1997, and everything here runs through a single terminal building that GESAC’s own site never numbers — every English-language page just calls it “the terminal.” Check-in is on the ground floor, split across three entrances by airline, and security and boarding are one floor up. The airport closes overnight, from 22:30 to 03:30, and nobody can stay inside the terminal during that window. ENAC recorded 13,257,401 passengers here in 2025, the fourth-busiest airport in Italy.
