Getting around NCE
Nice Côte d’Azur is France’s second-busiest airport after Paris, and its two terminals are joined by a free tram — lines 2 and B cross between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 in under 3 minutes, running every 7–8 minutes on weekdays. That same tram, line 2, keeps going free of charge all the way into the city: Jean Médecin in the centre or the Port Lympia stop by the old port, both in under 30 minutes. Airlines split by alliance rather than by price: the Lufthansa Group — Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian — flies from Terminal 1 alongside British Airways and Turkish Airlines, while Air France and its SkyTeam partners Delta and KLM fly from Terminal 2 alongside easyJet and Emirates. In 2025 the airport handled 15.2 million passengers, and Terminal 2’s new extension — in service since April 20 — has just changed where some gates are, so the airport is asking passengers to check theirs carefully.
