A single terminal building at St Mawgan serving 11 carriers with published contact numbers, from Aer Lingus to Aurigny. Two cafés bracket security — one landside, one airside — plus an airside bar serving 25ml spirit measures and Cornish draft beers (Proper Job, Korev, Rattler), and a shop stocking Cornish wine, spirits and local gifts. The Airport Development Fee some regional airports still add at departure ceased here in March 2016.
Most carriers close check-in 2 hours before departure — Aer Lingus Regional, easyJet, Edelweiss, Eurowings, Loganair, Ryanair, SAS and Aurigny among them. Skybus, serving the Isles of Scilly, closes earlier, at 75 minutes.
Liquids follow the standard pre-2024 rule here: up to 10 items of no more than 100ml each, in a clear resealable bag the airport provides at the security search. There is no smoking area once you are through security or in the departure lounge.
The terminal has no railway platform of its own. Newquay’s station, on a branch line that joins the main line at Par, is reachable from here by the Transport for Cornwall bus (route 56), which stops at the airport, or by taxi. A Mid Cornwall Metro upgrade is doubling the Newquay–Par service from every two hours to hourly.
Cornwall Airport Newquay is part of the Sunflower Scheme for hidden disabilities, with induction loops at check-in, the information desk, boarding gates, immigration and the cafés, plus ear defenders on request. Free airport wheelchairs are available throughout the terminal and car parks, and passengers can keep their own wheelchair or walking aid until boarding. Fast-track through check-in and central security search is available for assistance passengers, alongside an AviRamp for boarding and disembarking and the option of a private search. Call points sit at the East and West Car Park payment machines, and assistance can also be requested by WhatsApp. The airport has been rated Very Good by the Civil Aviation Authority for its passenger assistance service.
