Getting around PSA
Pisa International Airport — also known as Galileo Galilei Airport (IATA: PSA, ICAO: LIRP) — is Tuscany’s gateway alongside Florence Airport, under the same operator. Despite two buildings called “terminal”, only one handles both check-in and boarding: the neighbouring Terminal A is check-in only, and every passenger walks through to the Main Terminal for security and their gate. Since 2017 the PisaMover — an automated, driverless people mover — has covered the roughly five-minute run to Pisa Centrale railway station, following the same alignment as the airport’s own direct rail halt, which closed in December 2013. For Florence, a Flibco coach runs straight from a marked stop outside the terminal. In 2025 the airport carried 5,931,881 passengers, up 7.8% on the year before.
