Inside each terminal

Check-in, security, the station link and how to change terminals — verified against the airport's own pages.

Main Terminal

Pisa’s only working terminal handles both check-in and boarding for every scheduled carrier — Ryanair, easyJet, Wizz Air, British Airways and more than a dozen others. Its 16 gates split into two piers: A1–A11 on the ground floor for Schengen flights, and B21–B25 on the first floor for non-Schengen routes. Gate B23 is the sole gate fitted with a jetbridge, reserved for British Airways — every other gate boards by bus or on foot across the apron.

From the train & tram station

Pisa Centrale railway station connects to this terminal by PisaMover, an automated people mover that has run the route since 2017 — the same alignment as the airport’s own railway halt, which closed in December 2013.

Changing terminals

Every scheduled flight boards from this single building, so there is no shuttle or walkway between gates to plan for. Terminal A, next door, only ever handles check-in.

Terminal A

A separate building beside the Main Terminal, used only for check-in — the airport’s own terminal breakdown lists no gates and no pier here.

Check-in

Check-in only; there are no boarding gates in this building.

Changing terminals

Boarding always happens in the Main Terminal — allow time to walk over after checking in here.
