San Salvador’s airport is built around one passenger terminal, shown here — the same building CEPA expanded in 2022 with five new gate lounges and six jet bridges, and then paired in 2025-2026 with a whole new, US$50-million Terminal de Llegadas connected by a 34-metre walkway. OpenStreetMap has not yet mapped that new arrivals building as its own outline, so only the original passenger terminal — named and verified by us — is shaded on the map today. There is no rail link into San Salvador: authorized taxis and 11 rental agencies wait past Customs, and the new terminal’s 64 marked pickup spaces sit right at the kerb.

The shaded buildings are the terminals as they operate today, with names verified by us — the base map’s own labels can lag behind reality. Blue P squares mark the official car parks that publish a name; the dark square is the station.
