Southend fits into one glance: a single terminal building, rebuilt in 2012, with its own railway station facing it across a covered walkway — 100 steps door to platform, and the reason so many of the airport’s London passengers arrive by train rather than car. The four official car parks (Superior, Premium, Budget and Standard, renamed from Short/Mid/Long Stay in July 2026) ring the terminal within a few minutes’ walk, and the Holiday Inn sits just beyond them, close enough that guests walk in rather than shuttle. What’s shaded on this map is the terminal itself, its outline split by OpenStreetMap into two adjoining shapes that we checked against the airport’s own facts page; the airport’s private-aviation Jet Centre, a short walk further south-west, is left unlabelled — it is not part of the passenger route.
The shaded buildings are the terminals as they operate today, with names verified by us — the base map’s own labels can lag behind reality. Blue P squares mark the official car parks that publish a name; the dark square is the station.
