Inside each terminal

Check-in, security, the station link and how to change terminals — verified against the airport's own pages.

Terminal 1

One of the three airline-assigned check-in areas in Vienna’s connected passenger building. Current examples include British Airways, KLM, Ryanair and Turkish Airlines.

Check-in

Use the airline list and the airport screens on the day; Terminal 1 assignments lead onward to the B, C and D gate groups.

From the train & tram station

The airport railway platforms connect to arrivals by a short, covered, step-free route inside the complex.

Accessibility

Ask your carrier to arrange assistance no later than 48 hours before departure; Vienna Airport provides the service free around the clock.

Terminal 1A

A separate check-in area within the same terminal complex, currently used by airlines such as easyJet, Jet2, Pegasus, SunExpress and Vueling.

Check-in

Confirm the assignment with the airline or the live airport list; T1A is a check-in location, not a detached terminal building.

From the train & tram station

Follow the indoor terminal signs from the railway platforms; the route from the station is short, sheltered and step-free.

Accessibility

The free round-the-clock service should be booked with the carrier no later than two days ahead.

Terminal 2

Terminal 2 is not listed as a current airline check-in assignment. Its modernised departure area contains the central security checkpoint serving B, C and D, plus shops and restaurants.

Security

Passengers checked in for the B, C or D gate groups use the centralised security area here.

Changing terminals

A free airside shuttle is available between the C/D and F/G piers when a connection crosses those gate groups.

Accessibility

Specially equipped minibuses can carry passengers between terminal areas and between the terminal and aircraft.

Terminal 3

The check-in area used by Austrian, Air Canada, Emirates, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways and SWISS among other airlines, with onward access to the F and G gate groups.

Check-in

Airline assignments can change, so verify T3 on the official list or the airport screens before joining a queue.

From the train & tram station

The railway station reaches the terminal via a short indoor, step-free walk.

Changing terminals

For an airside connection to C or D, use the free transfer shuttle between the F/G and C/D piers.

Accessibility

Passengers may report to the mobility service in Terminal 3; the carrier should receive the assistance request at least two days in advance.
