Athens has one large Main Terminal Building — split inside into non-Schengen Area A (gates A1–A27) and Schengen Area B (gates B1–B31) — and a separate Satellite Terminal Building for gates C15–C40, reachable only through an underground link from the corridor by check-in counter 70: escalators or a lift down, then moving walkways, about 15 minutes door to door. The Sofitel Athens Airport sits just opposite the Main Terminal, a two-minute walk away. The airport also has its own stations for Metro Line 3 and the Suburban Railway, both built into the Main Terminal, which the shaded contours below do not include — only the two passenger terminal buildings are labelled, with names verified by us against AIA’s own site.
