Inside each terminal

Check-in, security, the station link and how to change terminals — verified against the airport's own pages.

Terminal 2

The terminal Volaris and VivaAerobus call home, alongside Copa, Avianca, LATAM and most of the smaller Latin American and Caribbean carriers — plus a scatter of European leisure airlines like Sunwing, TUI and Neos. Confirm your terminal on your booking before you leave: Cancún’s four buildings are not interchangeable, and a wrong guess here means a taxi ride, not a walk. Both the VIP Lounge by MERA and The Lounge by Global Lounge Network sit airside, up an escalator past security.

Terminal 3

Where the three big US network carriers land: American Airlines, Delta and United, joined by Air Canada, British Airways and a run of Spanish charter names — Iberojet, Wamos, Evelop — that fly heavy leisure traffic from Spain. It is also the only terminal with two separate MERA lounge rooms, one opposite gate C16 and a second on the roof with shorter hours, plus a 24-hour Global Lounge Network room.

Terminal 4

The newest of the three working terminals, and the only one split by traffic type rather than by alliance: Aeroméxico has the domestic side entirely to itself at gate 54, while the international side at gate 67A carries Air France-KLM, Lufthansa, TAP, Turkish Airlines and a run of US low-cost carriers — Southwest, JetBlue, Frontier, Allegiant, Sun Country. Its MERA lounge there is the biggest of the network’s Cancún rooms and was named Priority Pass’s best waiting lounge in Latin America in 2019.
