Can I take the Metro to Terminal 2?

Accepted Answer

No. The Dubai Metro’s Red Line only stops at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Terminal 2 has no Metro station — get there by public bus (dedicated stands in Arrivals), a Dubai Taxi Company taxi, ride-hailing, or your own car.

Which terminal does Emirates fly from at DXB?

Terminal 3, according to the airport’s own airline directory. Terminal 3 also has three concourses — A, B and C — that Dubai Airports says are used primarily by Emirates, flydubai, United and Air Canada, with Concourse A built specifically for the A380.

My connecting flight is at a different terminal — how do I get there?

It depends which terminal. Reaching Terminal 1’s D Gates takes a short trip on an internal airport train. Inside Terminal 3, you walk between B Gates and C Gates and take a short train ride to A Gates. For any other transfer between terminals or concourses, Dubai Airports asks you to check with your airline or a Guest Experience Ambassador on arrival.

How much cash can I bring into or take out of Dubai?

On arrival, you must declare amounts over AED 60,000 (or the equivalent in other currencies or traveller’s cheques). On departure, the threshold is higher: amounts over AED 100,000 must be declared.

Yes — the Dubai International Hotel (also listed by the airport as “DXB Hotel”) is airside inside Terminal 3’s Departures area, book-by-the-hour, with rooms along the A, B and C Gates concourses. The hotel says it’s reachable from Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, though it doesn’t publish the exact route.
