Frankfurt runs two active passenger zones set well apart across the airfield: Terminal 1 on the north side, right beside both railway stations, built as the connected Concourse A, A-Plus, B and C halls that carry gates A through C plus Z; and Terminal 3 on the south side, its main hall and the G, H and J piers raised as one complex. A third building sits between them on the map with no colour or name here — the former Terminal 2, which stopped serving passengers on 9 June 2026 and is not due back before the mid-2030s. Regionalbahnhof sits directly below Terminal 1 for S-Bahn and regional trains, while Fernbahnhof is the separate long-distance station for IC, ICE and AIRail. The free SkyLine links the terminals every 2–3 minutes from 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., with an overnight shuttle bus between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.; budget 10–15 minutes for the ride itself — the airport’s current figure, not the eight minutes quoted when Terminal 3 opened.
