Inverness is organised around one passenger building, but its railway station is not inside that footprint. HIAL’s current directions send rail passengers around the airfield perimeter on a signed, well-lit and uncovered path. Close to the terminal, the official 2026 plan groups the Premium and Accessible zone, Short Stay, free and chargeable drop-off, taxi and bus bays, cycle shelter, and separate car-hire pick-up and return areas; Long Stay sits beyond the shorter-stay zones. HIAL’s two parking documents disagree on the Long Stay walk — one says about 10 minutes and the other about 15 — so this guide uses the conservative 10–15-minute range. The shaded passenger footprint is labelled simply “Terminal”: OpenStreetMap marks way 43211814 as a terminal building but gives it no proper name.
The shaded buildings are the terminals as they operate today, with names verified by us — the base map’s own labels can lag behind reality. Blue P squares mark the official car parks that publish a name; the dark square is the station.
