Terminal 1
A modular terminal: departures use modules A through E, and its non-Schengen pier has been in regular operation since 21 April 2026. Airlines outside the Lufthansa Group and partner system use this side of the airport.
Check-in
T1A through T1E mean check-in in the matching module. T1Z is different: those counters are in the Munich Airport Center beside the S-Bahn entrance.
From the train & tram station
The S-Bahn station is below the MAC. From the station level, use an escalator or accessible lift to the MAC ground floor for direct access to Terminal 1.
Changing terminals
For a flight connection to Terminal 2, follow the signs to the free shuttle bus; the airport publishes a ride of 5–7 minutes. Landside, the MAC lies between the two terminals.
Accessibility
Mobility Service Points provide a place to wait for booked assistance. Information desks and lounges have induction loops, and the airport participates in the Sunflower program for hidden disabilities.

Terminal 2
The main half of the Terminal 2 system, used by Lufthansa Group and Star Alliance airlines. Gates G and H are here; J, K and L are across the apron in the satellite.
Check-in
A T2 check-in code means the central departure hall of Terminal 2.
Security
An inclusive checkpoint beside the Mobility Service Point offers more space and staff assistance for passengers with reduced mobility, families and travelers who need help.
From the train & tram station
From the S-Bahn station beneath the MAC, rise to the ground floor and cross the MAC Forum to reach Terminal 2.
Changing terminals
For the satellite, the underground shuttle train is mandatory and the ride takes about one minute. For a connection to Terminal 1, follow signs to the free 5–7 minute bus.
Accessibility
The inclusive security checkpoint is generally open to all Terminal 2 departures; Mobility Service Points and accessible lifts support the route from the station.

Terminal 2 Satellite
The airside satellite of the Terminal 2 system, opened in 2016 and used by the same Lufthansa Group and Star Alliance network. Its boarding areas are J, K and L.
From the train & tram station
There is no direct S-Bahn arrival route to this building: enter Terminal 2 from the MAC, then follow the signs for the underground shuttle train.
Changing terminals
You cannot walk between the satellite and the Terminal 2 main building. The underground train is required and its journey takes about one minute; published interval descriptions conflict, so none is stated here.
