Is Felipe Ángeles (AIFA) the same airport as Mexico City International (AICM)?

No — they are two separate airports. AIFA opened in March 2022 in Zumpango, State of Mexico, north of the capital, built to take pressure off the older AICM inside the city. If you need to connect between the two, ADO runs a direct shuttle van between them for $178 MXN, with more than 40 departures a day in each direction — there is no free transfer.

The Tren “Felipe Ángeles” runs direct to Buenavista station for $45 MXN, taking about 60 minutes today (the airport expects that to fall to 43 minutes). The cheaper option is the Mexibús Línea 1 “Servicio AIFA” ($10 MXN), which transfers free at Ojo de Agua onto the line into Ecatepec and the Bicentenario terminal. Both depart from the TITT, right next to the terminal.
