Terminal
AIFA works from a single passenger terminal, opened in 2022 and lit mostly by daylight through bioclimatic double-glazed windows — motion-sensing LED lighting cuts electricity use by 60%, by the airport’s own account. Seven carriers fly from here: Aeroméxico, Mexicana, Viva Aerobús, Volaris and Aerus on domestic routes, plus Arajet and Conviasa internationally.
Departures — check-in and baggage drop — are on Level 3. There are no separate domestic and international check-in halls; both share the same floor.
Security screening sits on Level 3, right in front of the airline check-in desks. Past the checkpoint, the “Calendario del Sol” at Gate 110 marks the split: the International Zone (Gates 111–134) is to the left, the National Zone (Gates 101–109) to the right.
The Tren “Felipe Ángeles” and the Mexibús Línea 1 “Servicio AIFA” both dock at the TITT (Terminal Intermodal de Transporte Terrestre), which sits right next to the terminal building.
Tactile paving (piso podotáctil) runs through the terminal to guide visually-impaired passengers to entrances, lifts, security and restrooms. Wheelchairs can be requested at the terminal’s Information Modules (+52 55 5798 9800, ext. 12003–12005) or directly through your airline.
