Inside each terminal

Check-in, security, the station link and how to change terminals — verified against the airport's own pages.

Terminal 1

One of Tocumen’s two passenger terminals, with its own Copa Club. A sensory room is in the building that connects T1 and T2, placing a quiet accessible space on the route between them.

Check-in

Do not infer the terminal from an airline list: Tocumen instructs passengers to confirm the terminal assigned to their departure with the airline.

Security

On a Copa international-to-international connection, checked baggage continues to the final destination and passengers do not complete Panama customs or immigration.

Changing terminals

Board the internal shuttle between boarding areas 104 and 105. Tocumen publishes approximately 10–15 minutes for the terminal-to-terminal connection.

Accessibility

The airport reports adapted toilets, ramps, accessible signs and priority assistance during boarding, plus the sensory room in the connecting building.

Terminal 2

Tocumen’s second passenger terminal has been fully integrated into Copa operations since 2022 and contains the airport’s other Copa Club. It connects with T1 through the shared complex.

Check-in

Check the terminal on the airline’s current departure information before travelling to the airport; the operator does not publish a fixed airline-by-terminal roster.

Changing terminals

The internal shuttle leaves from boarding area 209 for T1, where it arrives between areas 104 and 105. The airport’s approximate connection time is 10–15 minutes.

Accessibility

Accessible signage, adapted toilets, ramps and priority boarding assistance are airport-wide measures reported by Tocumen.
