How do I get from Bologna airport to the city centre?

The Marconi Express monorail leaves from the first floor of the terminal and reaches Bologna Centrale station in 7 minutes, every 7 to 15 minutes, from 05:40 to midnight, 365 days a year — a standard one-way ticket is €12.80. The airport’s own FAQ lists the alternatives as taxi or a chauffeur-driven car; once the monorail stops for the night, the Line Q night bus covers the run to the railway station instead.

Which terminal do I fly from at Bologna?

There is only one. All 44 airlines check in on the ground floor, and everyone — regardless of airline — goes up to the first floor for security and boarding. The “which terminal” question that applies at bigger airports simply does not exist here.

How far in advance should I ask for special assistance?

Accepted Answer

Request it from your airline when you book, or at the very latest 48 hours before departure — the airline forwards it to the airport. On the day, be at one of the contact points (Help Phone, the special-assistance reception in the check-in area, your check-in desk, or the 24/7 Parking Office at P2 Business) at least two hours and thirty minutes before departure.

Where do I park if I hold a disability parking permit?

Free spaces are set aside in P1 Terminal, P2 Business and P Express for holders of a valid DPR 151/2012 permit — the Italian disabled-parking scheme, recognised across the EU. Report to the Parking Control Office on the ground floor of the P2 multi-storey park (open 24/7) with your parking entry receipt, the permit, your ID and vehicle plate; vehicles parked in these spaces without the permit displayed can be towed at the owner’s cost.

Can I buy Fast Track security access at Bologna?

No — the airport’s FAQ is explicit that Fast Track is exclusively reserved for guests of the Marconi Business Lounge, and no ticket granting Fast Track alone is accepted. Book the lounge (open daily 05:00–21:00, first floor before security) to get it.

Can I carry a power bank in my hand luggage?

Accepted Answer

Yes, up to 100 Wh without restriction. Between 100 and 160 Wh you need to check with your airline first, and anything over 160 Wh is not permitted at all. In checked, hold luggage, power banks are always prohibited.
