Genève Aéroport runs on one terminal complex split by the Franco-Swiss border: the International Sector on the Swiss side, and the France Sector reached from French soil only by the Ferney-Voltaire customs road — a same-day plane ticket is the only way to cross between the two on foot. The France Sector shares the same building as the rest of the terminal, so it carries no separate outline on the map. To the east, raised on pillars, the Aile Est is where intercontinental flights board through Gate C. A short walk south, Terminal 2 is a separate, seasonal structure by car park P51, open on winter weekends for ski-season charters and closed the rest of the year. The railway station is built into the main terminal itself, about five minutes’ walk from Departures and Arrivals, with trains reaching Geneva-Cornavin in seven minutes. Car parks P1, P26, P51 and P2 sit around the main building; P20, in the France Sector, is the only one reached from the customs road rather than the Swiss side.
