Getting around HYD
Hyderabad has one integrated passenger terminal, but two details shape the trip before you even reach the check-in hall. First, keep your boarding pass and ID proof ready for the identity check at the departure entrance; international ticket holders are admitted only during the three hours before departure. Second, the airport remains a road journey: round-the-clock Pushpak buses link RGIA with JBS, Secunderabad, Miyapur and Lingampally, while app cabs and authorised car services cover individual trips. No metro reaches the terminal today. Telangana’s May 2026 record still placed the airport corridor in proposed Phase III with its DPR filed, and the June procurement for the nearer Phase II corridor stopped at Chandrayangutta. Inside, domestic and international departures share the expanded building, whose completed east and west additions now provide 379,370 m² and capacity for 34 million passengers a year. The regulator counted 30.48 million passengers in FY 2025–26.
